Symbioza is a remote MCP server at https://symbioza.dev/mcp with a browser sign-in: Google, GitHub or email. Every client gets the same seven tools: describeDataset, estimateExecution, submitJob, getStatus, listJobs, getArtifact and cancelJob. Estimates are free; submitting a run uses prepaid credit.
Install the plugin.
The Symbioza plugin for Claude Code is public on GitHub (symbioza/claude-plugin) under the MIT license.

It adds the Symbioza MCP connector and one skill, run-on-symbioza. The skill tells your agent when a job no longer fits where it is running: it needs a GPU, the data is too big for local disk, it should run unattended within the time limit the estimate shows, or it wants a hard dollar cap. It also tells the agent what to ask you, and the four calls from spec to artifacts: estimate, submit, status, artifact.
Sign in once before the tools appear: run /mcp, select plugin:symbioza:symbioza and choose Authenticate. Your browser opens to sign in.
Added the connector earlier with claude mcp add? Remove that copy so the tools are not listed twice.

Add Symbioza to ChatGPT.
ChatGPT calls a custom MCP server a plugin. Developer mode has to be on first.
- Turn on Developer mode: Settings → Security and login → Developer mode.
- Create the plugin: Settings → Plugins → Browse plugins → Create app → Create MCP App. Name it Symbioza, paste the connector URL below as the server URL and choose OAuth for authentication. Leave the client ID and secret empty: ChatGPT registers itself with Symbioza. Choose Create.
- Sign in: ChatGPT opens the Symbioza sign-in. Use Google, GitHub or email.
- Refresh and use it: Refresh in the plugin panel lists the seven tools. In a chat, turn on Symbioza and ask for an estimate. With ChatGPT’s default tool permission, reads run without asking and submitting or cancelling a job asks you first.
Symbioza’s estimate and each submitted job render inside ChatGPT as a run card with the run’s status, spending limit, price and files; a job’s card keeps itself current until the files are in. The card is read-only apart from refreshing the status and files and opening a link.

Add it in Claude.
Open Customize → Connectors → Add custom connector. Name it Symbioza, enter https://symbioza.dev/mcp as the URL, choose Connect and sign in.
Then, in a chat, open the connector menu and turn Symbioza on.
Any remote MCP client.
Any client that supports remote Streamable HTTP MCP with an OAuth sign-in (Cursor, Windsurf, Gemini CLI, Codex CLI and others) connects the same way: add https://symbioza.dev/mcp as a custom or remote server. If the client asks for headers or an API key, leave them empty: the sign-in is in the browser.

Reconnect and complete the sign-in. Confirm that you are using the intended account. Client menus and sign-in behavior can differ.
Tools are listed twice.
The plugin and claude mcp add each add the connector. Keep one: remove the manual copy with claude mcp remove symbioza.
The plugin will not save in ChatGPT.
Turn on Developer mode first, under Settings → Security and login. The URL is exactly https://symbioza.dev/mcp, with no trailing path.
submitJob is refused with a $0.00 balance.
Estimates are free; submitting a run needs prepaid credit. Add credit, then ask your agent to submit the reviewed spec.
